One thing I have always loved is drawing. From the time I sketched by ‘doodling’ in my 1st grade class because my mind couldn’t concentrate on the subject being taught by the teacher. When she came by to scold me because it was obvious I was in another world she was pleasantly surprised at the intricacy and beauty of my copy the the Giants gold boots from the story of ‘Jack and the Bean Stalk’. So impressed was she that she took me took other classes in session to show my work of art to other teachers and students in class sessions. Not only did it build a lasting love affair with drawing I have to this day but it got me out of class for a half an hour or so and made me feel like a King. Anyway doodling has stayed with me to this day. Sometimes my scratchings make sense other times they don’t but it is a release from this world’s tensions and madness that puts me in another world free of these. So whatever it is that calms ‘the beast in your heart’ use it, play with it and have fun with it. Like the Caretaker in the  amusement park like planet in the Star Trek episode ‘Shore Leave’ said “The more complex the mind the more the need for the simplicity of PLAY”. So play; doodle; day dream what ever it is to relax and put the madness of the world aside to calm your heart and soul.
