To definitively answer the above question I cannot say, however I’ll quote Star Trek’s Doctor McCoy who said in a number of episodes “I’m a Doctor, not a mechanic!”, well for me “I’m a Captain in the fire service, not a doctor!” On that note I will give my personal experience with hydroxychloroquine, one treatment for the COVID disease. Back in March of this year I became very ill, exhibiting most of the signs and symptoms of COIVD except the cough. After about a week I felt better and thought I had beat it. A day later the cough started with fever, chills and the rest of COVID symptoms. The cough got so bad I was on all fours vomiting and spitting blood. The next day I contacted my Doctor who after an assessment prescribed HCQ and an antibiotic. Within a day & a half the cough started to subside and I was on the road to recovery (which took another 4 weeks, since I had such a severe case of COVID). Again I’ll ask: “Does HCQ work?” I’ll let you decide since “I’m a Captain in the fire service, not a Doctor!” Stay safe everyone.
