In any military or para-military organization such as the FDNY or NYPD, personnel are taught from the time they enter boot camp or the academy that rank must be respected and the chain of command honored. One does not have to particularly like the person holding rank above them, however the rank must be respected and an order never questioned but obeyed unequivocally. Questions may be raised later after the emergency or routine is over, but with honor and respect for the rank. So the question is asked here: At what point does an interviewer become a interrogator and then also a prosecutor? Especially when interviewing a person who holds the highest rank in our country, The President of the United States of America?
